Amsterdam Fixed Gear
One last post about The Netherlands. It turns out not everyone in Amsterdam rides big heavy dutch bikes. During my week there I managed to find the local fixed gear community, they’re called the “faster than you crew” and are centred around the Pristine Fixed Gear store in Amsterdam. I was lucky enough to be there for both their weekly ride and an for an alleycat, which was the first in a series called The Tournament. Here are some shots from both of those.
I am a tourist
For the next 7 months or so I am going to be living/travelling in the UK and Europe. I decided that I’ve shot everything that Melbourne has to offer and it’s time to see what the rest of the world looks like, from behind the lens. I promise I won’t post too many standard touristy shots, I hate those. However, photographs of tourists are a different thing altogether, here is the first of many.
Eyes
I used to draw… then I got a camera and kinda just stopped, which is silly. Then one day I decided to take my camera out in a crazy storm, to try and get some cool shots of people running through flood waters and such. Anyway, I broke my camera, turns out it is not as weatherproof as I thought, and while it was being sent away for repairs I started drawing again. So here is a drawing, an actual drawing done with charcoal on a piece of paper. It is a drawing of my friend Harry’s eyes. Enjoy
